Hello Rose Garden Pool Association Members,
On behalf of the RGPA Board of Directors, we would like to wish you a healthy and prosperous 2026.
We had a great 2025 season and look forward to 2026 being even greater! In 2025, Drew Caliguri and his team did an excellent job managing the pool. The team kept us all safe so we could enjoy the pool facilities to their fullest. Members continued to benefit from all of our great programs: swimming lessons, Aqua Zumba, RGPA Swim Team, and the Annual Member Party. Last year, board member Keri McCloskey and her team of young employees continued to operate the Snack Shack to perfection with treats and snacks for all of us to enjoy.
Last year was a very busy on the administration side of the association. Our biggest activity was the roll out of the Member Splash membership management system. Countless hours were spent behind the scenes testing the system, rolling it out, training its users and administering its use throughout the summer. It was a learning experience for all of us and we can’t thank you enough for your patience and understanding through this period. With the experience we all gained last year, the 2026 season enrollment should be much smoother for all.
As a result of the pool subdivision resolution, two small parcels of RGPA land were sold to adjacent property owners. A third, much larger, parcel of land was put on the market last July. It remains for sale as of the writing of this letter. We also went out for proposals for the renewal of the insurance policies for the RGPA property and business. This effort was very successful and we were able to acquire new policies for the pool at significant cost savings with enhanced coverage.
We hope you all noticed the upkeep and continuous improvements to the pool and grounds this past summer. The parking lot was resealed and relined to protect our 2024 investment. It continues to look great! We also replaced the fencing around the baby pool area which was sorely needed. Unfortunately, Mother Nature was not kind to us last year with torrential rains and very high winds. As many of you witnessed, we had to remove numerous trees along the creek behind the pool as they were in danger of damaging the back fence. Our thanks to Chris Blosel and his team for coming to our rescue! We also suffered flood damage to our parking lot, sidewalk and possibly to the large drain pipe beneath the parking lot and side walk. This spring, prior to opening, repair work to these items will take place. Paint work, chair and umbrella repair and replacement, and building and roof maintenance also took place to both the pavilion and main building. This type of work will continue this coming season.
We are happy to report that based on our expenses from last year and what we project them to be for 2026, we will hold our annual membership fee at $550 for 2026. Inactive fees will also stay at $55. We will be increasing our guest fees this summer to $8 per person. We have kept our guest fees unchanged for as long as we all can remember so it was time for this change to reflect our current costs. We strongly suggest purchasing your guest passes through Member Spash. In 2026, we will not charge members to attend Aqua Zumba sessions. Guests of members that attend Aqua Zumba will be charged the $8 guest fee.
As we look to our future, we always welcome your suggestions for capital improvement projects. Two large projects that we continue to explore are a liner for the main pool to eliminate the need for constant repair and painting of the pool surface and reconstruction of the baby pool.
We encourage all interested RGPA family members to apply for available guard positions through our pool management company, American Pool Management (APM). We will also need help to man the Snack Shack concession stand. Please keep an eye on your email for more information.
As a follow-up to our Special Membership Meeting and ballot in January, the final tally of votes was 92 yes votes and 12 no votes. A quorum was reached and the ballot to enter into a Non-Surface Oil and Gas lease with Range Resources passed. We are now negotiating final lease terms with Range and have proposed an increase in their upfront payment for a lease and hope to have this finalized and signed very soon.
As a reminder, there will not be a printed membership letter sent to you via US Post with hard copy forms to fill out. This will all be accomplished by logging back into your MemberSplash accounts and paying your annual dues. If you have any questions or have difficulty signing into your account, please contact Jay Oppenheim at [email protected]. We ask that while you are in your account, please check all details. Please make sure your children are indicated as “Child” and not “Adult”, upload photos for all members, and include your children’s last names in your family account. A change for the 2026 membership drive is that we will no longer accept paper checks as payment. Payments will be made through Member Splash through credit cards or ACH payments directly from your bank accounts. There will be an email sent shortly with a reminder on how to log in to your Member Splash accounts. It will also include more specific information about information that needs to be updated in your accounts before the season starts.
The new year brings with it many exciting things and valuable updates for the RGPA season. We hope this letter helps provide a better understanding of what to expect at RGPA this summer. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Board.
